We implemented the SWITCH control message on our v18 branch based on PR#1378. The experience has been positive, with the first object arrival time significantly reduced compared to naive track re-subscription. The catch-up objects using the fetch header over a separate unistream also worked as described in the PR. We plan to implement DTS as well and will share results and improvement ideas later.
