Hello fam,
moq-lite https://www.ietf.org/archive/id/draft-lcurley-moq-lite-05.html is my subset of moq-transport. Don't overthink it; it's my API serialized to the wire instead of trying to support the full spectrum of optional functionality in moq-transport. ex. I don't use sub-groups, so they're not in moq-lite.
Some new features and experiments are split out into IETF extensions:
- moq-cluster https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-lcurley-moq-cluster/: NAMESPACE includes a list of hops to avoid cycles, and a cost to select the shortest path. This is how I route SUBSCRIBE when there are multiple relay connections (ex. relay cluster).
- moq-timestamp https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-lcurley-moq-timestamp/: Promotes the LOC timestamp/timescale to the moq-transport layer (and API), so the relay can use this timing information. It's okay I guess.
- moq-probe https://www.ietf.org/archive/id/draft-lcurley-moq-probe-00.html: Allows the subscriber to request the current bitrate, and to target a higher bitrate via padding.
- qmux-websocket https://www.ietf.org/archive/id/draft-lcurley-qmux-websocket-00.html: Not MoQ but I'm using it for TCP support in browsers.
If you want to try to interop, hit me up. Claude wrote these moq-transport extensions so I can't promise they work (the moq-lite code-path gets far more testing).
